Giving Tuesday 2024 (1).png

Giving Tuesday is December 3, 2024!

This Giving Tuesday, stand with the Crime Victim Center (CVC) of St. Louis to "Build Resilience and Restore Hope" for victims and survivors. Since its founding in 1972, CVC (originally Aid for Victims of Crime) has pioneered victim support nationwide as the first agency to serve all crime victims, regardless of their involvement in the criminal prosecution process. Our commitment to advocacy even contributed to President Reagan's Task Force on Victims of Crime in 1982, which led to the Office for Victims of Crime and the federal Victims of Crime Act (VOCA), providing essential funding to thousands of victim service programs across the country.

Today, CVC remains committed to its mission of empowering those impacted by crime to move from crisis to resiliency. Serving over 7,000 individuals annually, 95% of whom are at or below the poverty level, our services are free and accessible to all. Our trauma-informed approach addresses a broad spectrum of needs, from advocacy and legal assistance to counseling and community education. We aim to raise $25,000 this Giving Tuesday to expand these critical services, especially to survivors of domestic violence through our merger with Legal Advocates for Abused Women (LAAW).

Help us build a safer community—one where every victim has the support they need to heal and thrive. Together, we can meet our goal and ensure no survivor has to feel alone.
